Waking Sleeping Beauty

This occurred while putting Mekayla to bed one night…

Mekayla: (holding her Cinderella tiara) Put on the crown Daddy…. You are Sleeping Beauty.
Daddy: Oh good idea. I like to be Sleeping Beauty. (Any reason to take a nap, right? Lays on bed and pretends to fall asleep).
Mekayla: Mommy, Daddy’s Sleeping Beauty. He’s sleeping.
Mommy: I know. Would you like to wake Sleeping Beauty up?
Mekayla: Yeah.
Mommy: How do you wake Sleeping Beauty up? What do you do?
Mekayla: You say “Hello!”
Mommy: (laughing with Daddy) You say “Hello”?
Mekayla: Uh-huh!
Mommy: (still chuckling) Okay. Go wake Sleeping Beauty up.
Mekayla: ( crawls up onto Daddy and gets real close to his cheek and yells) Hello!!!!
Mommy: Is Sleeping Beauty awake now?
Mekayla: Uh-huh…

Yeah I’ll bet. I don’t think even the real Sleeping Beauty could sleep through that wake up call. But I think the Prince would have had a hard time convincing her to marry him after that.
