The Sweetest Things

Mekayla has just blossomed into the sweetest girl.... She will just throw her arms around me from time to time and give me the biggest and loveliest hugs and kisses. Then she'll look at me and say, "I love you too, Mommy"... Oh it just so totally melts my heart.

Sometimes she'll wish you well and happiness in the little way she knows how which is to wish you Happy Birthday. I'll give her a hug and she'll hug me back and say, "Happy Birthday Mommy". She associates birthdays with good things so we figured her wishing you Happy Birthday was equivalent to her wishing you good things and blessings.

The other day, she just started wishing me "Happy Holidays! Happy Holidays!" She must have heard it and picked it up somewhere then decided to repeat it. It was a pleasant surprise.

Lately, when Nadia is fussing or crying, she will sometimes go up to her and sing her a song. Nadia loves it and will often stop crying or fussing enough to listen to her sing.

These are such beautiful, precious moments I wanted to put down here to cherish. It is someplace I can always come back to revisit them.
